We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and the Information Privacy Principles set out in that Act.

2. Information we collect

We collect personal information that you give us when you:

• submit a reservation or enquiry form on this website;
• contact us by phone, email, Viber or WhatsApp;
• check in, dine or attend events at the hotel.

This may include:

• your name and contact details (email, phone number);
• booking details — dates, room type, number of guests;
• requests or preferences you share with us (dietary, accessibility, occasions);
• identification required at check-in under New Zealand law;
• technical data such as your browser type and pages visited, collected via cookies (see our Cookie Policy).

We use the information we collect to:

• meet legal obligations, including guest registration and licensing records;
• send occasional communications about your stay or our services, where you have agreed to receive them;

Reservation and contact records are kept for up to seven years to satisfy New Zealand tax and licensing requirements, then securely deleted or anonymised. Enquiry-only correspondence is deleted after 12 months if no booking follows.

6. Security

Access to guest information is restricted to staff who need it. Our systems are password-protected and kept up to date, and physical registration records are stored in a locked office at the hotel.

7. Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may:

• ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct information that is wrong or out of date;
• ask us to delete information we no longer need;
• withdraw consent to marketing at any time.
